MEMORIAL  DAY  OBSERVANCE

wdnvl50b.jpg : Flag The Woodinville Memorial Mead makes a special effort to observe the Memorial Day holiday.

On that day, the grounds are spruced up and the main gate is left open for the weekend.

Many families decorate the graves of loved ones, making for a very poignant reminder.

wdnvl48b.jpg : Flagged Marker We encourage everyone to visit the cemetery and to honor those who served our country in the many wars we've had to fight to preserve our freedom.

This Veterans Administration website has information about benefits for fallen veterans, which may include a free bronze marker for the burial of a fallen service member.

OPEN  HOUSE

Click on the pictures with thick
borders to see big enlargement.

In conjunction with our Memorial Day observance, we hold a cemetery "open house" for the public.

The main gates are opened and the cemetery is staffed by at least one board member on Memorial Day.  You can buy a plot that day, at the cemetery.

This link will take you to information about buying a plot at any time of the year.
