GENERAL INFORMATION

Land Area

Originally, the cemetery was about one acre in size, and comprised roughly one-half of the cemetery's area today.  The original cemetery is the eastern part, abutting N.E. 132nd Avenue N.E.  The original entrance was about halfway along 132nd Avenue N.E.

Additional land was donated to the cemetery some years later.  That land, the western part of the cemetery today, comprises roughly one-half of the land area.

Blocks

The cemetery is arranged into six major blocks, numbered 1 through 6.

The blocks are located as follows:

Sections

Each block contains numerous sections of plots.  Each section has a number.

Plot Numbers Within Blocks

Each section contains individual burial plots.

The lower left-hand corner of the cemetery layout diagram shows how plot numbers are arranged within sections.  Although the diagram shows 8 plots in this example, a section may have more or less plots than that.

The layout diagram will make it much easier to find the burial plot you're looking for.

A list of the people buried in the cemetery is available on-line, below.

The list is arranged in last name alphabetical order.

Because of the lack of computer standards, the list is provided below in several different file formats.  One of the formats should work with your computer.

Try the formats in the order listed.

List of Graves -- Rich Text Format

List of Graves -- Spreadsheet

If you are certain the computer you are using doesn't have a spreadsheet program (such as Microsoft Excel™ or Lotus 1-2-3™), skip to the “Plain Text” version of the list in the next section, below.

List of Graves -- Plain Text File

The link below will load a “Plain Text” format file.  The data will probably NOT be properly aligned into easily-readable columns, but you should be able to figure it out.

When you find the grave you're looking for in the list of graves, write down the following data for it:
Then print the layout diagram for reference, and take it with you to the cemetery.

Locating a grave may be difficult, because there are no corner posts installed to denote the blocks and sections in the cemetery grounds.  (Installing corner posts is one of our long-term projects).

16ceme82.gif : Layout Diagram woodin4b.jpg The Woodin Family Plot At the cemetery, locate the block and section as best you can.

The Woodin family plot, easily found on the cemetery layout diagram, and on the grounds, is a good starting reference.

When you think you're close, look closely for a stone marker or monument if one is indicated in the list of graves.

Keep in mind that there are no markers on some graves.
